wah wah girls and the globe.

Thursday June 21:

Woke up a little late and made another trip to the Farmers Market by our dorm! I got some delicious apple cider/juice stuff that I can take back next week and get refilled for less (def doing it). And got the most delicious burger in the whole world at one of the stands for lunch. I took a pilates class in the afternoon at the University of London's form of UREC and it was HORRIBLE. The class was challenging but it was the worst most rude teacher I have ever had in my life. Thank goodness I got my horrible experience out of the way earlier because I have a feeling I won't run into that the rest of my trip!

Later that night we went to the Peacock Theater to see Wah Wah Girls! a West End musical. Before the show a few of us who had been craving sushi went to a place named Wasabi (how appropriate). It was perfect. As for the show...now I know Bollywood stories are supposed to be corny and cheesey but this show was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I could go on for days explaining how hilariously horrible it was. I sat next to Bails and we could not control ourselves, by the end of it we had tears streaming down our faces! We ended the very weird day with Harry Potter movie night in the CH basement.

Yummy market...with the smells of heaven!

Friday June 22:

Had class again with Sonia at RADA! love her! And Jamie! It was a great day of dancing. After class Katelyn, Becky, and I went to Planet Organic for a quick lunch and took naps to get ready for the long night ahead of us!

A small group of us went off to Southbank for a delicious little Italian Dinner and then walked over to the London Eye for our ride! We picked the perfect time. The sun was setting and the city lights were just turning on, it was an absolutely stunning view of London! BUT the best part was witnessing a proposal on a pod directly in front of us. We saw them getting into their own private pod and the groom to be was looking super nervous so we jokingly assumed that he was going to ask his mate to marry him. Little did we know! Once we got to the very top we were watching just in case and the next thing we knew he bent down on one knee and there is no doubt that she said yes! Basically my future husband has some big shoes to fill when he proposes. Take notes boys! JK.

After the Eye we went over to the area the Globe Theatre is in and got drinks and dessert! I tried a coffee with Bailey's in it. How deliciously dangerous. After an hour or two hanging out at the restaurant/bar with the cutest most fun atmosphere we headed to Henry V at Shakespeare's Globe Theater for the midnight show! Shaners got us standing tickets, meaning we stood in the front of the theater the entire 3 hour play! It was an absolutely amazing atmosphere, the actors were obviously the best of the best, and it was a gorgeous night. But I was distracted by my exhausted legs and feet for most of the show...nonstop dancing and walking was not a good combo. Afterwards aka 3am we had planned on taking the bus back to our dorm. Unfortunately the one night we needed them the buses were on strike! We had to walk close to 3 miles all the way back to our dorm! At least we got to see the Sunrise in London...I can't complain.
Big Ben from above!
